Levi looked to the crowd. Hoping that in the sea of faces he would see something that would point him in the right direction. Not on the court, though that would be part of today’s decision. No, he needed to make a decision on his life. His family or himself. Uncle Sammy’s bet or his scholarship. Missing or scoring the basket on the final free throw. Winning or losing. It was up to him now. The weight of the decision rested on his shoulders, and he didn’t want to carry it any more than he wanted to carry the guilt from his family or the student debt he’ have without the scholarships. He took a deep breath and turned away from the crowd towards the court. To his team, their opposition and the net.
